Hotel Galileo - Florence

This place suits me perfectly, offering great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and in-room breakfast. The staff were kind, helping me retrieve my forgotten earpods. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Actually everything was great, my next choice again in Florence. The breakfast was particularly nice with a great selection of meals.

Pleasant views, comfortable location close to everything. Based right by train station, shops and restaurants and bars. Good-sized unit with a nice decor.

Quaint and pretty standard hotel, fits for rest in Florence. All the rooms are neat with 2 wide beds and the staff are affable! The location close to a train station is favourable and magnificent.

The bed was very comfortable.

We could hear everything around us. The cleaning staff's loud conversations in the hallway at dawn were utterly disruptive and frustrating.

The hotel was undoubtedly charming, but the staff was less than cute. I was shocked they didn't offer any tea service, a basic amenity! I almost gave a good review, but the awful air-conditioning spoiled it completely. I would have expected a complimentary upgrade for enduring the chaos of a rainstorm, yet none arrived.

The hotel was easy to reach on foot from the train station, also the public transport was close by, the equipment of the room was very nice, the room was located to the side of the inner courtyard and was nice and quiet, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the WLAN was very good.

In the room there was only one easily accessible power socket, a second one we discovered under the desk, which was a bit cumbersome to reach, a third one we found by chance hidden behind a bed. In the bathroom the shower was a little bit leaking, afterwards there was always a puddle in front of it (clear lime deposits). There was a hanging shelf for the towels, but this hung directly above the toilet, also the door to the bathroom squeaked. The breakfast could use more variety (more fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheese). When opening the room door the buzzer is actually a little loud. There was a TV in the room, but only with Italian channels.

Exceptionally nice breakfast, with a wide array of food. The location is magnificent, the room is functional & silent. Location just next door to supermarket, Mercato Centrale and train station and town centre...

Confortable, clean, nice shower and the bed was ok. And very quiet during the night.

I loved how close the hotel was to the bustling Mercato Centrale, just a few steps away, especially when they provided plates for breakfast with a smile. I felt at home in this beautiful city.

Excellent, helpful staff in a beautifully decorated hotel. Quiet, clean room and good breakfast. Walkable from train station and to Florence attractions.

An easy walk from main station and great location to explore Florence on foot from or use the inexpensive local buses.
